Our Philosophy
Sisu [SEE-soo] is a Finnish concept representing determination, resilience, and inner fortitude. Founded by a Finnish instructor, the studio brings this mindset into the practice of contemporary Pilates, rooted in the belief that building a strong foundation requires Sisu, consistency, and intentional work.
We offer private classes using state-of-the-art apparatus—including the Reformer, Wunda Chair, spine corrector, and mat—with each session tailored to the individual. This approach allows you to develop the fundamental principles of the BASI method: awareness, balance, breath, center, control, concentration, efficiency, precision, flow, and harmony. Through mindful, controlled movement, we help you build a balanced, functional body and a stronger sense of body awareness, whether you are just beginning your journey or returning to the method.
